Mikhail Pashnin is doing good impressions for himself at the New York Rangers' development camp. According to reports he's playing very hard and showed that he strongly wants to play in the NHL. He was even involved in a fight with other Rangers' prospect Ethan Werek.

After the second day of the camp Pashnin was labelled as "first star" of the camp by New York Rangers' GM Glen Sather.

"I want to play in the NHL, it's the best league in the world", Pashnin told the Rangers' official site. When he was asked if he can be compared to former Rangers' defenseman Darius Kasparaitis he replied with a mere "I don't know him."

Pashnin, 21, is going to get back to CSKA Moscow after the rookie camp. His contract will run out on April 2012, and then most likely he will cross the pond.
